HELB Instructs Loan Payments to eCitizen Platform

HELB Issues Loan Application Guidelines for Continuing Students. The Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) issued new loan application requirements for continuing students at universities and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) on Tuesday, August 1.

In a notice, the loans board indicated that selected students should apply using the HELB app or the USSD code *642#.

Since the app has been upgraded as a result of Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu’s presentation of the new financing model, HELB has urged students to keep it up to date.

Students must also register with a valid phone number and SIM cards registered in their names.

“To complete registration, enter your first name exactly as it appears on your national ID card, your ID number, and a valid email address.” By clicking the loans tab, you can choose a degree.

“Then click apply on the Undergraduate/Certificate/Diploma second and subsequent loan,” according to the message.

As a result, it was suggested that students examine the loan terms before answering the financial literacy questions.

“Select your preferred loan payment option and click Request Loan to view and check the status of your credit application.”

“Click submit to complete the loan application.” A pop-up notification will notify you that your application was successful. According to HELB, the loan serial number will also be shown.

The organization committed to keep students updated on the distribution of maintenance, tuition loans, and other services.

Students experiencing difficulties with their applications were asked to contact the loans board at [email protected] .

The loan application date is September 30.
